My sad memories on that sunny Sunday in 1997.
"ATTEMPT OF MURDER" was my first thought, when I got the breaking news on TV, in the midnight hour! Sunday, August 31st 1997. Satanic midnight hour. On the 31st! 31 = 13 backward! In 1997 = 1+9+9+7 = 26 = 2x13! And then: The 13th pillar! Unbelievable!
Already too much for a coincidence. All bells ringing. They did it. I had feared and somewhat expected something like this to come. Poor Diana. Why didn't you fear your enemies enough?
A few months before she had given that ominous BBC interview, where she had been dressed in black. She had complaint about her difficulties within the Royal Family. She had said things that she never should have said in public, because her enemies would interpret this behaviour as disclosure, as trespassing of the Royal borders, one more time. Other thoughts and pictures came back into my memory. When I had seen that strange pre-requiem-like BBC interview I had been so upset, that I phantasized "She spoke her own death sentence, dressed in black!"
but had not expected this to become real and soon.
So this was to be the night of her execution. The broad and lengthy tell-a-vision reports "we still don't know and see no nothing yet" no matter if it was Skynews, BBC or CNN depressed me, I SAW that this was set into scene as ritualized murder. If she wasn't dead already, she would not come out alive, too much of a coincidence. Too many enemies in high places.
But I had to go to bed, it was 2 hours after midnight. Four hours of shallow sleep, I awoke and came back to watch TV. The news were so sad and depressing. Probably she had died already between 2 and 3 o'clock, I was told, blablabla, accident, blablabla. I was disgusted and felt 'holy wrath'. About the news and even more about the way the news were spread.
Sunday, the 31st August was such a lovely, warm late summer day.
And she was dead.
